"My body, my choice" only makes sense when someone else’s life isn’t at stake.
Fun fact: If my younger sister was in a car accident and desperately needed a blood transfusion to live, and I was the only person on Earth who could donate blood to save her, and even though donating blood is a relatively easy, safe, and quick procedure no one can force me to give blood. Yes, even to save the life of a fully grown person, it would be ILLEGAL to FORCE me to donate blood if I didn’t want to.
See, we have this concept called “bodily autonomy.” It’s this….cultural notion that a person’s control over their own body is above all important and must not be infringed upon.
Like, we can’t even take LIFE SAVING organs from CORPSES unless the person whose corpse it is gave consent before their death. Even corpses get bodily autonomy.
To tell people that they MUST sacrifice their bodily autonomy for 9 months against their will in an incredibly expensive, invasive, difficult process to save what YOU view as another human life (a debatable claim in the early stages of pregnancy when the VAST majority of abortions are performed) is desperately unethical. You can’t even ask people to sacrifice bodily autonomy to give up organs they aren’t using anymore after they have died.
You’re asking people who can become pregnant to accept less bodily autonomy than we grant to dead bodies.

These guys, who dress up as popular comic book heroes and such, went to visit this little four year-old boy when he was dying from cancer. And at his funeral, they took off their masks while they carried his coffin, so to honor him.

For the first time, the Amazonian Princess, Diana of Themyscira, is appearing on the big screen. Man of Steel director Zack Snyder and writer David S. Goyer are bringing Wonder Woman to life alongside Superman and Batman in their up-coming Man of Steel sequel.
Warner Bros. announced today that the part will be portrayed by Israeli actress Gal Gadot who is best known as Giselle Harabo in the Fast and The Furious 5 and 6 movies.
"Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character," Snyder said.
The Man of Steel sequel is set to be released on the 17th of July, 2015. [x]

“We’ve picked out a few favorites from Head Like An Orange, home of hundreds of amazing nature GIFs.
Marinus is a 28-year-old from the Netherlands, and he makes GIFs. But not just any GIFs: his Tumblr, Head Like An Orange, is a collection of some of nature’s most stunning, weirdest, sweetest, and funniest moments. At least, they are the best moments captured on film, put into TV shows, and edited down into short, spellbinding loops.
Are the ones we’ve picked out here the best GIFs on Marinus’s blog? We don’t know—there are hundreds to choose from, and they are all wonderful. But here are a few of the highlights.”
